How well I know! — old Qfwfq cried — the rest of you can’t remember, but I can. We had her on top of us all the time, that enormous Moon: when she was full — nights as bright as day, but with a butter-coloured light — it looked as if she were going to crush us; when she was new, she rolled around the sky like a black umbrella blown by the wind; and when she was waxing, she came forward with her horns so low she seemed about to stick into the peak of a promontory and get caught there.

Concept art for Pixar’s Newt, which is sadly no longer in development. It’s a shame we’ll never get to see this become a fully-fledged movie (at least not in the near future), because it looks gorgeous.

Cars has been called the worst Pixar film, and I think I agree with those who say it. But ‘worst’ is misleading as that implies that the film is bad at all. If your worst film is as good as Cars then that really says something about how good you are.
The ending of the race was… the cheesiest possible ending I could think of, but the rest of the film was great. Especially Mater. Mater is the best.
And I’m getting distracted by the Paraguay - Japan game, soooooo… that’s all I’ve got to say, I guess.

Thanks to a rare stroke of luck, I found time to watch Toy Story 3 today.
If I had more time tonight I would go on at length about how it was wonderful, amazing and practically perfect in every way. But that would take all night, so… just take my word for it, YOU MUST SEE THIS MOVIE IMMEDIATELY.

There’s an article over at wired.com that details how a single frame of Toy Story 3 goes from storyboard sketch to finished product. Click the image for high-res to see just how wonderfully detailed this scene is.
Beautiful! I love Pixar.

Day 2: Your favorite movie
I already said it was difficult to pick just one favorite of everything, but here is Up. I don’t think any other movie has ever made me cry within the first fifteen minutes. I don’t think there’s any movie canine I love more than Dug.
So here is Up.

What is that? I will explore it now.
