echopraxis:

2011 was the year I got an iPod with a camera in it, and consequently, the year I got those fun little hipster photo apps. I took loads of photos in 2011, most of them with a DSLR, but even grainy faux-vintage cameraphone (or camerapod, in my case) shots can hold memories. And they don’t look too bad, all things considered.

Here are nine of them from 2011.

Feb 1, 2011 (top left) - one of the first I ever took, simple shot of the road, Macapagal if I remember correctly.
Feb 4, 2011 (top middle) - Ana & Xmae, CAS parking lot.
March 2, 2011 (top right) - Lalay, Chessell, Beverly, Renzy, Ana & Dan. CAS parking lot. We joked that this would be the album cover of our band.

May 26, 2011 (middle row, left) - View from the 28th floor of the Philippine Stock Exchange Center, on the second-to-the-last day of my summer internship.
August 25, 2011 (center) - in my room, studying for an exam I probably failed.
September 17, 2011 (middle row, right) - Araneta Coliseum. taken shortly after the UP Pep Squad was announced winner of the UAAP Cheerdance Competition, taken from my excellent vantage point in general admission.

October 4, 2011 (bottom left) - typical Metro Manila street sign. On the road, somewhere.
October 13, 2011 (bottom center) - a page from The C Programming Language by Brian Kernighan & Dennis Ritchie. Taken after hearing of Ritchie’s death.
Nov 8, 2011 (bottom right) - tourist map of Singapore, centered somewhere near the hotel we stayed at. Nearby subway stations circled.

HEY LOOK GUYS I AM BLOGGING. It’s early into the year, let’s see how long this’ll last.
